5 Signs and Things to do to Prevent Stroke

Stroke is one of the major causes of death in many part of the world and has been seen as a very serious disease but can be prevented through few methods. Stroke may disable some part of the body temporarily or permanently.

Stroke is described as disease that attacks the brain which occurs when blood flowing through or to the brain suddenly stopped due to some form of blockage in the blood flow and many cells including the blood cells, brain cells begins to die due to lack of oxygen.

There are basically two types which includes  of stroke; 

1. ischemic stroke -  This kind of stroke is caused by a blood clot that blocks a blood vessel in or around the brain. 

2. Hemorrhagic stroke - This stroke is caused by a blood vessel that breaks and flows into the human brain. 

The two types of strokes are very severe and some of the symptoms includes;
  • Heart beats faster
  • Increase body temperature
  • Trouble speaking
  • Sudden headache
  • Trouble walking
  • Loss of balance
  • Loss of memory
These are few symptoms of stroke and the things to do to avoid this includes;

1. High blood pressure: If you have high blood pressure, its likely you can be attacked by stroke because high blood pressure result to stroke and what you can do is visit your doctors, get some drugs or caution then you can control it. Just manage your high blood pressure and you avoid getting stroke.

2. Smoking: Smokers are liable to die young which stroke also contributes to. If you are currently smoking, please stop it to avoid getting stroke at anytime or age.

3. Salt: Consuming excess salt or adding more salt to your food is as deadly as death because common salt (Nacl) contains sodium ion which in excess causes heart disease. One of the thing you can do to prevent stroke is to avoid eating too much salt.

 4. Sugar: If you consume excess sugar through soft drinks or sugary foods, If you have diabetes, you just need to work with your doctor on how and ways to manage it. Excess sugar or diabetes only increases the chance of an individual to get stroke.

5. Overweight:  If you notice excess fat around your body, tummy, or body generally, just start to maintain a healthy diet and exercising to get fit.
